Hadith 34046
٣٤٠٤٦ - حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن العلاء بن (مسيب) (١) عن رجل حدثه قال: قال الحواريون لعيسى ابن مريم ﵇ (٢): ما (تأكل؟) (٣) قال: خبز الشعير، قالوا: وما تلبس؟ قال: الصوف، قالوا: وما تفترش؟ قال: الأرض، قالوا: كل هذا شديد؟ قال: لن تنالوا ملكوت السماوات والأرض حتى تصيبوا هذا على لذة، أو قال: (على) (٤) شهوة.
Ala bin Musayyib narrates from a man that the disciples asked Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him), "What do you eat?" He replied, "Barley bread." They asked, "What do you wear?" He replied, "Wool." They asked, "What is your bedding?" He replied, "The ground." They said, "All this is very difficult." He replied, "You cannot attain the kingdom of the heavens and the earth until you refrain from using these things despite their pleasure," or he said, "despite their desire."
