Hadith 33914
٣٣٩١٤ - حدثنا محمد بن عبيد عن الأعمش عن سالم بن (أبي الجعد عن جابر ابن) (١) عبد اللَّه قال: مر بي رسول اللَّه رصِل وأنا أسوق بعيرًا لي وأنا في آخر الناس وهو (يظلع) (٢) أو قد اعتل، (قال) (٣): "ما شأنه؟ " فقلت: يا رسول اللَّه (يظلع) (٤) أو قد اعتل فأخذ شيئًا كان في يده فضربه، ثم قال: "اركب"، فلقد كنت أحبسه حتى يلحقوني (٥).
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me while I was driving my camel and was behind all the people, and my camel was lame or sick. He said, "What is the matter with it?" I replied, "O Messenger of Allah! It is lame or sick." He took something that was in his hand and struck it, then said, "Mount it." So I would hold it back so that the people could catch up with me.
