Hadith 33884
٣٣٨٨٤ - حدثنا عبيدة بن حميد عن الأسو بن قيس عن نبيح بن عبد اللَّه (العنزي) (١) عن جابر بن عبد اللَّه قال: سافرنا مع رسول اللَّه ﷺ فحضرت الصلاة، فجاء رجل (بفضلة) (٢) في إداوة فصبه في قدح، قال: فتوضأ رسول اللَّه ﷺ (٣)، ثم إن القوم أتوا بقية الطهور وقالوا: تمسحوا تمسحوا، قال: فسمعهم رسول اللَّه ﷺ فقال: "على رسلكم"، قال: فضرب رسول اللَّه ﷺ يده في (القدح) (٤) في جوف الماء ثم قال: "اسبغوا الطهور"، قال: فقال جابر بن عبد اللَّه: والذي أذهب بصره (٥)، لقد رأيت الماء يخرج من بين أصابع رسول اللَّه ﷺ، فما (رفع) (٦) يده حتى توضؤوا أجمعون، (قال) (٧) الأسود: (أحسبه) (٨) قال: كنا مائتين أو زيادة (٩).
Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we traveled with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the time for prayer came. A man brought some leftover water in a vessel and poured it into a bowl. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution with it. Then people began to bring their leftover water for ablution and started saying, "Do masah, do masah (wipe over instead of washing)." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) heard them and said, "Wait." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his hand in the water and said, "Perform complete ablution." Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says, "By Him who took away my eyesight, I saw water flowing from the fingers of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He did not lift his hand until everyone had performed ablution." Aswad, the narrator, says, "I think I heard him say that we were two hundred or more."
