Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub narrates that a bowl of tharid was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and placed before the people. They kept coming one after another from morning till noon and ate from it; one group would get up and another would sit down. A man asked, "O Samurah! Was it increasing?" Samurah replied, "What would we be amazed at? It was increasing from there," and he pointed towards the sky with his hand.
