Hadith 33860
٣٣٨٦٠ - حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن الشيباني عن عبد اللَّه بن شداد قال: لا أسري بالنبي ﷺ أتي بدابة دون البغل وفوق الحمار، يضع حافره عند منتهى طرفه، يقال له: البراق، ومر رسول اللَّه ﷺ (بعير) (١) للمشركين (فنفرت) (٢) فقالوا: يا هؤلاء ما هذا؟ قالوا: ما نرى شيئًا، ما هذه إلا ريح، حتى أتى بيت المقدس فأتي بإنائين في واحد خمر وفي الآخر لبن، فأخذ اللبن، فقال له جبريل: هديت وهديت أمتك ثم سار إلى (قصر) (٣) (٤).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Shaddad narrates that when the Prophet (ﷺ) was taken on the Mi'raj, a beast was brought to him which was smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey. It would place its hoof where its gaze ended. Its name was Buraq. And the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by a caravan of polytheists; their camels became startled. They said, "What is this?" Others replied, "We do not see anything; it was just a gust of wind." Until the Prophet (ﷺ) reached Bayt al-Maqdis. Then two vessels were brought to him, one containing wine and the other milk. He chose the milk. Jibreel said, "You have been guided, and your Ummah has also been guided." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) proceeded towards Egypt.
