Hadith 33750
٣٣٧٥٠ - حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن أبي بكر بن أحمر عن عبد اللَّه بن بريدة عن أبيه قال: كنت عند رسول اللَّه ﷺ (فجاءه) (١) رجل فقال: يا رسول اللَّه، إن عندي ميراث رجل من الأزد، وإني لم أجد أزديا أدفعه إليه، قال: " (فانطلق) (٢) فالتمس أزديا عامًا أو حولًا فادفعه إليه"، قال: فانطلق ثم أتاه في (العام) (٣) (السابع) (٤) فقال: يا رسول اللَّه ما وجدت أزديا أدفعه إليه، قال: "انطلق إلى أول خزاعي فادفعه إليه"، قال: فلما (قفى) (٥) قال: "علي به"، قال: "فاذهب فادفعه إلى أكبر خزاعة" (٦).
Hazrat Buraidah narrates that I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) when a man came and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have the inheritance of a person from the tribe of Azd, and I have not found any Azdi to whom I can give it." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Go and search for an Azdi for a year and give it to him." So, he came in the seventh year and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! I have not found any Azdi to whom I can give it." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Then go first to a Khuza'i, and give it to the first one you find." He says that when the man turned to go, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Bring him to me," and said, "Give it to the chief of the tribe of Khuza'ah."
