Hadith 33597
٣٣٥٩٧ - حدثنا ابن علية عن عثمان (البتي) (١) عن عبد الحميد بن سلمة عن أبيه عن جده أن أبويه اختصما فيه إلى النبي ﷺ أحدهما مسلم والآخر كافر- فخيره (فمال) (٢) إلى الكافر فقال: "اللهم اهده"، فتوجه إلى المسلم فقضى له به (٣).
Abdul Hameed bin Salamah narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that his parents began to dispute about him in the presence of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), one of whom was a Muslim and the other a disbeliever. The Prophet gave him the choice, and he inclined towards the disbeliever. The Prophet said: "O Allah! Guide him," so he inclined towards the Muslim, and the Prophet decided in favor of the Muslim.
