Hadith 33420
٣٣٤٢٠ - [حدثنا وكيع (حدثنا) (١) (فطر) (٢) عن شيخ من أهل المدينة عن خارجة بن زيد عن زيد بن ثابت قال: إذا كانت الجدة من قبل الأم (أقعد) (٣) من ⦗٣٢٧⦘ الجدة من قبل الأب كان لها السدس، وإذا كانت الجدة من قبل الأم (هي) (٤) أقعد من الجدة من قبل (الأب) (٥) كان السدس بينهما] (٦) (٧).
Kharijah bin Zaid narrates from Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: When the maternal grandmother is closer than the paternal grandmother, then the sixth share of the wealth will be given to her; and when the paternal grandmother is closer than the maternal grandmother, then the sixth share of the wealth will be divided between both of them.
