Hadith 33419
٣٣٤١٩ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا بشير عن عبد اللَّه بن ذكوان عن خارجة بن زيد قال: إذا كانت الجدة من قبل الأم أقعد من الجدة (التي) (١) من قبل الأب كان السدس لها، وإذا كانت الجدة من قبل (الأب) (٢) أقعد من الجدة من قبل الأم كان (السدس بينهما) (٣).
Abdullah bin Zakwan narrates that Hazrat Kharijah bin Zaid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: When the maternal grandmother is closer (in relation) than the paternal grandmother, then the one-sixth share of the wealth will go to her. And when the paternal grandmother is closer than the maternal grandmother, then the one-sixth share of the wealth will be divided between both of them.
