Hadith 33311
٣٣٣١١ - حدثنا أبو بكر بن عياش عن إسماعيل بن سميع قال: قال رجل لأبي وائل: إن أبا بردة يزعم أن أبا بكر جعل الجد أبا؟ فقال: كذب، لو جعله أبا لما خالفه عمر (١).
Ismail bin Samia says that a man asked Hazrat Abu Wa'il whether Hazrat Abu Burdah narrates that Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) considered the grandfather like the father? He replied: He has lied; if he had considered him like the father, then Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would not have opposed him.
