Hadith 33308
٣٣٣٠٨ - حدثنا (ابن) (١) مهدي عن مالك بن أنس عن الزهري عن قبيصة بن ⦗٢٩٣⦘ ذؤيب أن عمر كان يفرض للجد الذي يفرض له الناس اليوم (٢).
It is narrated from Qabeesah bin Dhu’ayb that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to allot to the grandfather the same share as is allotted nowadays. The narrator says that I asked him, “Do you mean the opinion of Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him)?” He replied, “Yes!”
