Hadith 33250
٣٣٢٥٠ - حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن إبراهيم عن علقمة قال: أُتي ابن مسعود في أم وإخوة لأم فأعطى الإخوة للأم الثلث، وأعطى الأم سائر المال، وقال: الأم عصبة من لا عصبة له (١).
Hazrat Alqamah narrates that Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the mother and maternal brothers. He gave one-third of the wealth to the maternal brothers and the remaining wealth to the mother, and said that the mother is the 'Asabah (residuary heir) of the one who has no 'Asabah.
