Hadith 33201
٣٣٢٠١ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا هشام بن (سعد) (١) عن زيد بن أسلم قال: دعي رسول اللَّه ﷺ إلى جنازة رجل من الأنصار، فجاء على حمار ⦗٢٦٨⦘ فقال: "ما ترك؟ " قالوا: ترك عمة وخالة، قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "رجل مات وترك عمة وخالة" ثم سار ثم قال: "مات وترك عمة وخالة" ثم قال: "لم أجد لهما شيئًا" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Aslam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was invited to the funeral of an Ansari. So he (peace be upon him) came riding on a donkey. He (peace be upon him) asked, "Which relatives has he left behind?" The people said, "He has left behind a paternal aunt and a maternal aunt." He (peace be upon him) said, "This is a man who died and left behind a paternal aunt and a maternal aunt." Then he walked a little further and again said, "This is a man who, at the time of death, left behind a paternal aunt and a maternal aunt." Then he said, "I do not find any share for them."
