Hadith 33097
٣٣٠٩٧ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا موسى (بن) (١) (عُلِيّ) (٢) بن رباح عن أبيه أن عمر خطب الناس بالجابية فحمد اللَّه وأثنى عليه، ثم قال: من أحب أن يسأل عن ⦗٢٤٥⦘ القرآن فليأت أبي بن كعب، ومن أحب أن يسأل عن الفرائض فليأت زيد بن ثابت (٣).
It is narrated from Ali bin Rabah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a sermon to the people at the place of Jabiyah. After praising and glorifying Allah, he said: Whoever wishes to ask about the Qur'an should come to Ubayy bin Ka'b, and whoever wishes to ask about the knowledge of inheritance (Ilm al-Fara'id) should come to Zayd bin Thabit.
