It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw in a dream that an angel was taking him towards Hell. Another angel met them and began to stop that angel, and he said to me, "Do not be afraid; what an excellent man this is, if only he would pray during a part of the night." The narrator says that after this, he (Ibn Umar) used to offer long prayers at night. Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that he took me near Hell and I was saying, "I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire." I saw that it was like a room, the lower part of which was wide and the upper part narrow, and I saw that many men of the Quraysh were lying in it face down, whom I recognized.
