Hadith 32357
٣٢٣٥٧ - حدثنا علي بن هاشم عن (ابن) (١) أبي ليلى (عن المنهال) (٢) عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس (عن الحكم يرفعه) (٣) أن رجلًا أتى النبي ﷺ وقال: إن على أمي رقبة مؤمنة وعندي رقبة سوداء أعجمية فقال: "ائت بها"، فقال: "أتشهدين أن لا إله إلا اللَّه وأني رسول اللَّه"، قالت: نعم، قال: "فاعتقها" (٤).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Hazrat Hakam (may Allah have mercy on him) has reported in a marfu’ form that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: My mother owed a believing slave woman, and I have a non-Arab, black slave woman. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bring her to me. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Do you testify that there is no deity except Allah, and that I am the Messenger of Allah? She said: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Set her free.
