Hadith 32149
٣٢١٤٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن ابن عون قال: ذكروا عند الشعبي قوله: ﴿وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ (عَلَى مِثْلِهِ) (١)﴾ [الأحقاف: ١٠]، فقيل عبد اللَّه بن سلام فقال: كيف يكون ابن سلام وهذه السورة مكية؟.
Hazrat Ibn Aun says that some people recited the verse before Imam Shabi: "While a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar." So it was said: By the witness is meant Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam. He replied: How can this be Ibn Salam when this surah is Makki?!
