Hadith 32071
٣٢٠٧١ - حدثنا عبيد اللَّه قال: أخبرنا إسرائيل عن أبي إسحاق عن أبي عبيدة عن أبيه قال: كان (يقرئ) (١) القرآن فيمر بالآية فيقول للرجل: خذها فواللَّه لهي خير مما على الأرض من شيء، قال: فيرى الرجل أنما يعني تلك الآية حتى يفعله بالقوم كلهم (٢).
Hazrat Abu Ubaidah narrates that his father, Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him), was teaching the Qur'an when he passed by a verse and said to a man: "Hold on to this verse. By Allah, this verse is superior to all things present on the earth." So the man thought that only this verse was meant, to the extent that he told everyone the same.
