٣٢٠٠٩ - حدثنا (كثير) (١) بن هشام عن جعفر بن برقان قال: حدثنا الأخنس ابن أبي الأخنس عن زبيد المرادي قال: شهدت ابن مسعود (وقام) (٢) خطيبًا فقال: الزموا القرآن وتمسكوا به، حتى جعل يقبض على يديه (جميعًا) (٣) كأنه آخذ (بسبب) (٤) شيء (٥).
Hazrat Zubayd Al-Muradi narrates that I was present in the service of Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was standing and delivering a sermon. He said: O people! Hold fast to the Qur'an and cling to it firmly, to the extent that he clenched his hand as if he was holding a rope.
