Hadith 32001
٣٢٠٠١ - حدثنا حسين بن علي عن حمزة الزيات عن أبي المختار (الطائي) (١) عن ابن أخي الحارث الأعور عن الحارث عن علي قال: سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: "كتاب اللَّه (فيه) (٢) خبر ما قبلكم ونبأ ما بعدكم وحكم ما بينكم، هو الفصل ليس بالهزل، هو الذي لا تزيغ به الأهواء، ولا (يشبع) (٣) منه العلماء، ولا يخلق عن كثرة رد، ولا تنقضي عجائبه، هو الذي من تركه من جبار قصمه اللَّه، ومن ابتغى الهدى في غيره أضله اللَّه، هو حبل اللَّه المتين وهو الذكر الحكيم، وهو الصراط المستقيم، هو الذي من عمل به أجر، ومن حكم به عدل، ومن دعا إليه (دعا) (٤) إلى صراط مستقيم، خذها إليك يا أعور" (٥).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: In the Book of Allah are the stories of those before you, and the news of those who will come after you, and the rulings for those among you. It is the decisive criterion between truth and falsehood; it is not a jest. Because of it, the soul does not become crooked. The scholars are never satiated with it, and it does not become old from being recited repeatedly. Its meanings’ secrets and wonders never end. Whoever abandons it out of harshness, Allah will break him into pieces. And whoever seeks guidance in anything other than it, Allah will misguide him. It is the strong rope of Allah. It is full of blessings and wisdom. And it is the straight path. Whoever acts upon it receives reward, and whoever judges by it does justice. And whoever calls towards it, calls towards the straight path. O A’war, hold onto it firmly.
