٣١٩٨٤ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن عبيد اللَّه عن نافع عن ابن عمر قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "مثل القرآن مثل الإبل (المعقلة) (١) إن عقلها صاحبها أمسكها وإن تركها ذهبت" (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of the Qur'an is like a camel whose foreleg is tied to its neck. If its owner ties its foreleg to its neck, it will remain tethered, and if he leaves it untethered, it will go away.
