Hadith 31916
٣١٩١٦ - حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال: حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن يزيد بن حازم عن (سليمان) (١) بن يسار قال: انتهى عمر إلى قوم يقرئ بعضهم بعضًا، فلما رأوا عمر سكتوا فقال: ما كنتم تراجعون؟ قلنا: (كنا) (٢) (نقرئ) (٣) بعضنا بعضًا، فقال: إقرءوا ولا تلحنوا (٤).
Hazrat Sulayman bin Yasar narrates that Hazrat Umar went to some people among whom some were teaching the Qur'an to others. When those people saw Hazrat Umar, they became silent. So Hazrat Umar said: What were you discussing? We replied: Some of us were teaching the Qur'an to others. He said: Recite, and do not make mistakes.
