Hadith 31842
٣١٨٤٢ - حدثنا عباد بن (العوام) (١) عن حجاج عن عمير بن سعيد أن عليًا كبر على يزيد بن المكفف أربعًا ثم قام على القبر فقال: اللهم عبدك وابن عبدك (٢) نزل ⦗٣٦٧⦘ بك اليوم وأنت خير منزول به، اللهم وسع له (مدخله) (٣) واغفر له ذنبه، فإنا لا نعلم إلا خيرًا وأنت أعلم به (٤).
Hazrat Umair bin Saeed narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) recited four takbeers at the funeral of Yazid bin Makfif. Then he stood by his grave and prayed as follows: O Allah! This is Your servant and the son of Your servant. Today he has become Your guest, and You are the best of hosts. O Allah! Make his grave spacious, and forgive his sins. For surely, we know nothing but good about him, and You know best regarding this matter.
