Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Jami’ bin Shaddad narrates that Hazrat Mughith bin Samiyy said: Among the people before you, there was a man who used to commit sinful acts. Then one day, remembering Allah, he said: O Allah! I seek Your forgiveness, I seek Your forgiveness. So he was forgiven.
