Hadith 31085
٣١٠٨٥ - حدثنا ابن نمير عن حميد بن عطاء عن عبد اللَّه بن الحارث عن عبد اللَّه ابن مسعود قال: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: " (أعوذ باللَّه) (١) من قلب لا يخشع، وعلم لا ينفع، (ودعاء لا يسمع) (٢)، ونفس لا تشبع، ومن الجوع فإنه بئس الضجيع" (٣).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from a heart that does not fear, from knowledge that does not benefit, from a supplication that is not heard, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from hunger, for indeed hunger is an evil companion.
