Hadith 30997
٣٠٩٩٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن مسهر عن الشيباني عن سلمة بن كهيل قال: كنا جلوسًا عند شريح إذ أتاه قوم يختصمون إليه في (عمرى) (١) جعلت لرجل حياته، فقال له: هي (له) (٢) حياته وموته، (فأقبل) (٣) (عليه الذي) (٤) (قضى) (٥) عليه يناشده فقال شريح: لقد (لامني) (٦) هذا في أمر قضى به النبي ﷺ (٧).
Hazrat Salamah bin Khail says that we were in the assembly of Qazi Shurayh when some people came to him with a dispute about a house that had been given to a man for his entire lifetime. So Qazi Shurayh told them that this house would belong to that man during his lifetime, and after his death, it would go to his heirs. The one against whom the decision was given turned towards you and began to swear oaths. Qazi Shurayh said: This person is blaming me in a matter about which the decision was given by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, himself.
