Hadith 30806
٣٠٨٠٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن نمير عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد عن عمران عن الشعبي أنه سئل عن أربعة شهدوا على رجل أنه ليس ابن فلان، وشهد أربعة أنه ابن فلان، فقال: ادرأ عن هؤلاء، (لأنهم) (١) (أربعة) (٢)، (وأُصدّق) (٣) الآخرين.
Hazrat Imran narrates that Hazrat Sha'bi was asked about those four men who testified against a man, claiming that he is not the son of a certain person, and four other men testified that indeed he is the son of that person. What is the ruling regarding them? He replied: I would absolve them from punishment because they are four, and I would affirm the statement of the other.
