Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Umair bin Saeed says that Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) used to teach the tashahhud in prayer and teach the tashahhud that when any of you finishes the tashahhud, he should say these words: O Allah! O Allah! Grant me the good that I know and the good that I do not know. I seek protection from the evil that I know and the evil that I do not know. O Allah! O Allah! I ask You for all the good that Your righteous servants have asked. O Allah! O Allah! I seek refuge from all the evils from which Your righteous servants have sought refuge. O our Lord! O our Lord! Grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of Hell. O our Lord! We have believed, so forgive our sins, overlook our mistakes, and let our end be with the righteous. O our Lord! O our Lord! Grant us all that which You have promised to Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection; surely, You do not break Your promise.
