Hadith 3012
٣٠١٢ - حدثنا وكيع قال: نا الأعمش عن أبي وائل عن عبد اللَّه قال: كنا نصلي خلف النبي ﷺ (فنقول) (١): السلام على اللَّه قبل عباده، السلام على جبريل، السلام على ميكائيل، السلام على فلان وفلان، فلما قضى رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "إن اللَّه هو السلام فإذا جلس أحدكم في صلاته فليقل: التحيات للَّه والصلوات (٢) والطيبات، السلام عليك أيها النبي ورحمة اللَّه وبركاته، السلام علينا وعلى عباد اللَّه الصالحين، أشهد أن لا إله إلا اللَّه وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله"، ثم يتخير (٣).
Hazrat Abdullah says that we used to pray behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and we used to say: Peace be upon Allah before His servants, peace be upon Jibreel, peace be upon Mikaeel, peace be upon so-and-so and so-and-so. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) completed the prayer, he said: Allah is Peace. When any of you sits in prayer, he should say: All verbal worship, physical worship, and financial worship are for Allah. O Prophet, peace be upon you and the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is Allah’s servant and His Messenger.
