ما جاء في التشفع (للسارق)Narrations Regarding Interceding for the Thief
Hadith 29935
٢٩٩٣٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حميد بن عبد الرحمن الرواسي عن هشام عن أبي (حازم) (١) أن عليًا شفع لسارق (فقيل) (٢) له: تشفع لسارق؟ (فقال) (٣): نعم، إن ذلك يفعل ما لم يبلغ (به) (٤) الإمام، [فإذا بلغ (به) (٥) الإمام] (٦) فلا أعفاه اللَّه [(إن) (٧) عفاه] (٨) (٩).
Hazrat Abu Hazim narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) interceded for a thief, so he was asked: Are you interceding for a thief? He replied: Yes! Indeed, this can be done as long as he has not been brought to the Imam, and when he reaches the Imam, then Allah will not forgive him if the Imam has forgiven him.
