ما جاء في التشفع (للسارق)Narrations Regarding Interceding for the Thief
Hadith 29933
٢٩٩٣٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن هشام بن عروة عن عبد اللَّه بن عروة عن الفرافصة الحنفي قال: مروا على (الزبير بسارق فتشفع) (١) له (قالوا) (٢): (أتشفع) (٣) (لسارق)؟ (٤) فقال: نعم، ما لم يؤت به إلى الإمام، فإذا أتي به إلى ⦗٣٣٢⦘ الإمام فلا عفى اللَّه عنه (إن عفى عنه) (٥) (٦).
Hazrat Faraafisah Hanafi narrates that people were passing by Hazrat Zubair with a thief, so he interceded for him. Upon this, the people said: "Are you interceding for a thief?" He replied: "Yes! As long as he has not been taken to the Imam. When he is taken to the Imam, then Allah will not forgive him, even if the Imam forgives him."
