Hadith 29897
٢٩٨٩٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن سماك عن قابوس بن المخارق عن أبيه قال: أتى النبي ﷺ رجل فقال: يا رسول اللَّه الرجل يأتيني يريد مالي، قال: " (ذكره) (١) باللَّه"، قال: فإن لم يذكر، قال: "فاستعن عليه بمن حولك من المسلمين"، قال: فإن لم يكن حولي أحد من المسلمين؟ قال: "فاستعن عليه ⦗٣١٩⦘ بالسلطان"، قال: فإن نأى عني السلطان؟ قال: "فقاتل دون مالك حتى تمنع مالك (و) (٢) تكون في شهداء الآخرة" (٣).
Hazrat Makharraq narrates that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! If a person comes to me with the intention of taking my wealth, what is the command for me?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Advise him to fear Allah." He submitted, "If he does not accept the advice?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then seek help from the Muslims around you against him." He submitted, "If none of them are present?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then seek help from the ruler against him." He submitted, "If the ruler is far from me?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then protect your wealth yourself, and you will be among the martyrs of the Hereafter."
