Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Auf narrates that I was present with Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Azinah when he took retribution (qisas) from a man for someone by inflicting two minor wounds on his head, and then he stopped the person for whom the retribution was being taken, until he could see the person from whom the retribution was taken. The narrator says: Hazrat Ibn Sirin disliked this act of stopping.
