Hadith 29583
٢٩٥٨٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن الشيباني عن الشعبي والحكم وحماد قالوا: ما كان من ضربة بسوط أو عصى أو حجر فكان دون النفس فهو عمد وفيه القود.
Hazrat Shaibani states that Hazrat Sha'bi, Hazrat Hakam, and Hazrat Hammad said: Whoever strikes with a whip, stick, or stone, and it is less than causing death, then it will be considered intentional (amdan), and qisas (retaliation) will be applicable in it.
