Hadith 29354
٢٩٣٥٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن عيينة عن الزهري عن سعيد أن عمر كان يقول: الدية (للعاقلة) (١) ولا ترث المرأة من دية زوجها شيئًا حتى كتب إليه الضحاك بن سفيان الكلابي أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ ورث امرأة أشيم الضبابي من دية زوجها (٢).
Hazrat Saeed narrates that Hazrat Umar used to say, "Blood money is the right of the family members; the wife will not receive any share of her husband's blood money as inheritance." Until Hazrat Dahhak bin Sufyan Kalabi wrote a letter to him stating that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made the wife of Ashyam Dubabi an heir to her husband's blood money.
