Hadith 2865
٢٨٦٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا حفص عن (عمرو) (١) عن الحسن قال: كان لرسول اللَّه ﷺ ثلاث سكتات (سكتة) (٢) إذا افتتح التكبير حتى يقول الحمد، وإذا فرغ من الحمد حتى يقرأ السووة، وإذا فرغ من السورة حتى (يركع) (٣) (٤).
Hasan narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would observe silence three times during the prayer: after saying the opening takbir until beginning Surah Al-Fatihah, after reciting Surah Al-Fatihah before starting another surah, and after completing the surah before saying the takbir for bowing (ruku).
