Hadith 2857
٢٨٥٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن علقمة قال: دخل عبد اللَّه على أخيه عتبة يعوده فوجده على عود يصلي فطرحه، وقال: إن هذا شيء عرض به الشيطان، ضع وجهك على الأرض، فإن لم تستطع فأومئ إيماء (١).
Hazrat Alqamah narrates that Hazrat Abdullah went to visit his brother Utbah, and saw that he was performing prayer with the support of a stick. He picked up the stick and threw it away, and said that this thing has been created by Satan. Place your face on the ground, and if you do not have the strength for that, then perform the prayer by indication.
