(باب ما جاء في الطيرة)Superstition (Bad Omen)
Hadith 28083
٢٨٠٨٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت عن (عروة) (١) بن عامر قال: سئل رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن الطيرة فقال: "أحسنها الفأل ⦗٤٤٣⦘ ولا ترد مسلمًا، فإذا رأى أحدكم من ذلك ما يكره فليقل: اللهم لا يأتي بالحسنات ولا يدفع السيئات إلا أنت، ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بك" (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Urwah bin Aamir narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about bad omens. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best of it is good omen, and it cannot remove anything from a Muslim. And when any of you sees something he dislikes, he should recite this supplication: Translation: O Allah! None can bring good except You, and none can remove evil except You. And the strength to abstain from sins and the power to do good deeds is only through Your help.
