Hadith 27692
٢٧٦٩٢ - حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن عبد اللَّه بن عبد الرحمن بن يعلى عن عمرو ابن الشريد عن أبيه قال: أنشدت رسول اللَّه ﷺ مائة قافية من شعر أمية بن أبي الصلت يقول (بين) (١) كل قافية: هيه (و) (٢) قال: "إن كاد ليسلم" (٣).
Hazrat Shureid narrates that I recited one hundred couplets from the poetry of Umayyah bin Abi Salt to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. After each couplet, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would say, "Recite more." And he said: "He was close to accepting Islam."
