Hadith 27690
٢٧٦٩٠ - حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن (إبراهيم بن) (١) (ميسرة) (٢) عن ابن (الشريد) (٣) أو يعقوب بن عاصم سمع أحدهما (الشريد) (٤) يقول: أردفني النبي ﷺ خلفه فقال: "هل معك من شعر أمية بن أبي الصلت شيء؟ " (قال) (٥): قلت: نعم! قال: "هيه! " فانشدته بيتًا فقال: "هيه! " فلم يزل (٦): هيه حتى أنشدته مائة (٧) (٨).
Hazrat Ibn Shureid or Hazrat Yaqub bin Asim, one of these two, narrates that Hazrat Shureid said: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seated me behind him on his mount. And he said: Do you remember any verses of poetry by Umayyah bin Abi Salt? I said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite them. So I recited one verse to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite more. He kept saying: Recite more, recite more! Until I had recited one hundred verses to him.
