٢٧٥٧٦ - حدثنا يزيد بن المقدام عن القدام بن شريح عن أبيه عن جده هانئ بن (شريح) (١) قال: وفد النبي رشَل في قومه، فسمعهم يسمون رجلًا عبد الحجر، فقال له: "ما اسمك؟ " قال: عبد الحجر، فقال له رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إنما أنت عبد اللَّه" (٢).
Hazrat Hani bin Shuraih narrates that a group of people came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a delegation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard that these people called a man by the name of Abd al-Hajar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked that person: "What is your name?" He replied: "Abd al-Hajar." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Surely, you are Abdullah (servant of Allah)."
