Hadith 26524
٢٦٥٢٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا معتمر عن عباد (بن عباد) (١) المازني عن أبي (مجلز) (٢) قال: (قرص) (٣) أصحاب ابن مسعود البرد قال: فجعل الرجل يستحي أن يجيء في (الكساء) (٤) الدون أو الثوب الدون، قال: فأصبح عبد الرحمن في (عباية) (٥) (ثم أصبح) (٦) فيها في اليوم الثالث فجعل الناس يتراجعون (٧).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Majliz. He says that they were afflicted with severe cold along with Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud… The narrator says… but (some of) the people felt shy to come in old clothes or an old sheet. The narrator says: So Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman came one morning in a shawl, then came again in the same shawl, then on the third day also came in the same shawl. Upon this, humility also began to appear among the people.
