Hadith 26372
٢٦٣٧٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا علي بن هشام عن ابن أبي ليلى عن ثابت قال: كانت جالسًا مع عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى فأتاه رجل ذو (ضفرين) (١) ضخم فقال له: يا أبا عيسى قال له: نعم قال (له) (٢): حدثني ما سمعت في الفراء، فقال: ⦗٥٠٩⦘ سمعت أبي يقول كانت جالسًا عند النبي ﷺ (فأتاه) (٣) رجل فقال: يا رسول اللَّه أصلي في الفراء؟ (فقال) (٤): " (أين) (٥) الدباغ؟ " (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Thabit that he says: I was sitting with Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila when a man came to him who had two large rams. He said to Ibn Abi Laila: Please tell me what you have heard regarding garments made of leather. So he said: I heard my father say that I was sitting in the service of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). During that time, a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! May I pray in a garment made of leather? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Where has tanning gone?"
