Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Abi Salamah that he says Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz used to prepare food (for those) who were present with him, but Hazrat Umar did not eat from it, so the people also did not eat. Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz asked, "What has happened to you that these people are not eating?" The people informed him that since you did not eat, they also did not eat. So he ordered that, from his personal wealth, one dirham be spent daily for cooking, then he also ate the food and the other people also ate.
