Hadith 26076
٢٦٠٧٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن علية عن أيوب عن حميد بن هلال عن أبي بردة أن النبي ﷺ وجد من المغيرة ريح ثوم فقال: "ألم أنهكم عن هذه الشجرة؟ " فقال: يا رسول اللَّه أقسمت عليك (لتدخلن) (١) يدك، (قال) (٢): وعليه ⦗٤٣١⦘ جبة أو قميص، فأدخل يده فإذا (على صدره) (٣) (عصاب) (٤) فقال: " (٥) أرى لك عذرًا" (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abi Burdah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, noticed the smell of garlic from Hazrat Mughirah. So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Did I not forbid you from this tree?" He replied: "O Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon you! I swear to you that you must put your hand (into the cloak or shirt)." And at that time, he was wearing a cloak or shirt... So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, put his hand in, and there was a bandage on him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You have an excuse."
