Hadith 25985
٢٥٩٨٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن (علية) (١) عن أيوب عن نافع عن صفية بنت أبي عبيد أن جرًا لآل ابن عمر فيه عشرون فرقًا من سمن أو زيادة، وقعت فيه فارة فماتت، فأمرهم ابن عمر أن يستصبحوا به (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Safiyyah bint Ibn Ubaid that the household of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) had a jar in which there were twenty faraq (a specific measure) or more of ghee. A mouse fell into it and died, so Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) instructed the household to use that ghee for lighting lamps.
