٢٥٨٨٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب عن أبي هريرة أن النبي ﷺ قال: "لا (فرعة) (١) ولا عتيرة" (٢).
Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates from the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no (practice of) Fara' and no (practice of) 'Atirah." Imam Zuhri says: Fara' is the offspring that is the first to be born among the livestock of the people, which they used to slaughter for their deities. And 'Atirah was (a practice) in the month of Rajab.
