في العقيقة كم عن الغلام وكم عن الجاريةOn ‘Aqiqah: How Many Animals for a Boy and How Many for a Girl
Hadith 25824
٢٥٨٢٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن داود بن قيس عن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده قال: سئل النبي ﷺ عن العقيقة (قال) (١): "لا أحب (العقوق) (٢)، من وُلد له (٣) مولود فأحب أن ينسك عنه، فليفعل: عن الغلام شاتان وعن الجارية شاة" (٤).
Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, who narrates from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about 'Aqiqah. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I do not like disobedience to (one's) parents. Whoever has a child born to him and he likes to offer a sacrifice on his behalf, then he should offer a sacrifice: two goats for a boy and one goat for a girl."
