Hadith 25679
٢٥٦٧٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن عطاء بن (السائب) (١) عن ميسرة قال: رأيت عليا (يشرب) (٢) قائما، فقلت: شربت قائما؟ فقال: (إن) (٣) شربت قائما (لقد) (٤) رأيت رسول اللَّه ﷺ (يشرب) (٥) قائما، ولأن شربت قاعدا (فلقد) (٦) رأيت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يشرب قاعدا (٧).
It is narrated from Hazrat Maisarah, who says: I saw Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) drinking while standing, so I asked, "Are you drinking while standing?" Upon this, he replied: "Indeed, if I am drinking while standing, then surely I have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) drinking while standing, and if I drink while sitting, then surely I have seen him (peace and blessings be upon him) drinking while sitting."
