Hadith 25576
٢٥٥٧٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن عطاء عن أبي عبد الرحمن عن علي قال: كان (يرزقنا) (١) الطلاء، فقلت له: ما (٢) هيئته؟ (قال) (٣): أسود (يأخذه) (٤) أحدنا بإصبعه (٥).
Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman narrates about Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) used to give us ointment as a stipend. (The narrator says) I asked Abu Abdur Rahman, "What was the form of this ointment?" Abu Abdur Rahman replied, "It was black in color, which any one of us would take with his finger."
